27th October
So there hasn't been too much to report here at Wildwood over the past few months as I have been a little preoccupied with becoming pregnant and getting engaged. So its all been quite exciting. Bub is due on the 29th of March so there won't be any riding or showing ponies between now and then!!  We'll just be covering a few mares in the next few months and eagerly awaiting Valentino's first 2 foals next month.
Rembrandt ended up going quite well at Gosnells Masters being awarded Reserve Champion First Ridden and also winning a class in the open ring. He is doing so well for a newcomer but will have a bit of a break now before our newcomer shows in 2010.
So because of me expanding my family I will be offering quite a few ponies for sale in the next few months so stay tuned...

6th August

It seems as though I have become quite complacent in my website updates. Sorry about that!! We have had quite a few things happening though.
Firstly, W. Rembrandt attended his first proper hack show and was reserve champion. A very good effort for his first official outing! He didn't put a foot wrong the whole day and I was very proud of him.
Unfortunately last month we lost Willowcroft Sea Cottage after a short battle with cancer. She was such a lovely mare and will be sadly missed. She is survived here by her filly W. Sea Song.
Our Royal Show prep is fully underway. I have decided to scale back the team this year and only enter 3, the 2 yearling fillies and Valentino. Hopefully they all make it!!
And lastly we have just sold W. Midnight Serenade to a lovely family in Perth. Good luck with him I'm sure you'll have a ball. W. Rembrandt will make another appearance at a local show in a couple of weeks with his new 10y.o. rider Skyla McGorlick and then his next show after that will be our GN qualifier Gosnells Masters. Can't wait to see how he goes!!!

19th May
I have received some lovely photos from Lorelle Mercer of Rembrandt, Royal Silk and Valentino that I have put up on the site. She has done my Riding Pony annual magazine ad and it looks great. Keep your eyes out for it!
In news around the stud, W Rembrandt made his show ring debut under saddle last weekend at the Bibs and Booties show. He won both his ridden classes and behaved beautifully. I couldn't have been more happy with him. A huge thanks to Brit Wilson for riding him for me you did a great job! He will go to his first hack show in about 3 weeks and hopefully qualify for our EFA HOTY in September.
Scarlet Tribute is also going well under saddle and it won't be long before she comes out too.
We have a new arrival coming in about a month, I will introduce her a little closer to then

25th March
Wow!!! I didn't realise it had been so long since I had updated the site! So much news I don't know where to start!!
Kirreway Welcome foaled a beautiful liver chestnut filly in late December and we couldn't be more happy with her. She has been named Wildwood Flashdance and should mature small galloway.
We have been very busy here at Wildwood breaking in and educating the young ones. A huge thanks to Ant and Alan for coming down and helping me definitely couldn't have done it without you guys! Wildwood Rembrandt, Wildwood Scarlet Tribute, Melody Park Valentino, Wildwood Silhouette, Wildwood Midnight Serenade and Wildwood Valentino were all broken in and all very quiet in doing so. Rembrandt and Scarlet Tribute will be shown under saddle later on this year and will do newcomers next year. Our colt, Melody Park Valentino is going very well under saddle and will be shown in breed classes under saddle later on this year also.
We had 2 positive preg tests for Mirinda Illusion and St Clares Bvlgari and they are both due in November.
We have been to only one show this year, the WA Riding Pony Youngstock Show where MP Valentino and W Rembrandt were both top 5 3 y.o. of the year.

23rd December
Well it has been relatively quiet at Wildwood in the past month.
Applewood Scarlet has found a new home with Kelly and Brit Wilson. I wish them every success with her in the future, I'm sure she'll do them proud!
We started serving mares with Valentino at the start of this month. Mirinda Illusion and St. Clares Bvlgari have been covered so far and Rory's Kick will be covered today. Very exciting and our fingers are crossed that they will be in foal!
We are very excited waiting for the last foal for the season out of Kirreway Welcome. I don't think it will be too much longer to go now....
Have updated the sales page with Grandstables Reality.
Merry Christmas and a successful, safe and happy new year to all of you!!

14th November
I didn't realise how long it had been since I had updated the site. It's mazing how quickly time flies!
A lot of things have happened in the last 2 months.
We took W. Royal Silk to her last show of the season about a month ago and she went champion galloway. It was a very fitting end to her year in which she achieved so much, especially for such a young horse.
Last weekend I took Applewood Scarlet to her first show of the year and she went reserve champion galloway. She is such a beautiful mare I am always tempted to keep her but with so many others on the go I really just don't have time.
The most exciting news of the week however was the birth of our colt out of Lady Paris of Astral (AIUK) by Aacot Royal Tribute (AIUK). He is the most stunning foal and I am so thrilled he came out a colt! he is chestnut with quite a bit of chrome ( definitely a lot more than I was expecting) and I already have high hopes for him as a future sire for the stud! He will be named W. Arisocrat. Photos are on the foals page along with updated ones of W. Warm Whispers.

16th September
Well. What an eventful week it has been at the stud!
Our first foal of the season was born last Thursday the 11th of September. A Chestnut filly out of LJS Royal Secret by Rosedale Tempting, we have named her Wildwood Warm Whispers.
Lorelle Mercer also took time out of her busy photography schedule in Perth to come down to Margaret River to take some photos of the ponies here. Will post them as soon as I get my hands on them!
And to cap off an exciting week we took Melody Park Valentino and Wildwood Rembrandt to their fist show of the year and Valentino's first outing in WA on Sunday. It was the WA Riding Pony Show judged by John Paget and Peta Plozza and both boys had a great day. Valentino was sashed Champion 3 y.o. and then Supreme Youngstock which was a very big thrill and Rembrandt won all his classes and was Champion WA bred 3 year old. Will post photos from the show when I get them!

1st September
I have just updated the for sale page with price reductions on most stock. I am very open to offers as they must go!
I didn't make it to Masters on the weekend due to car troubles so lets hope this weekend will be very sucessful for Royal Silk's first Horse of the Year.

28th August
Wow, I didn't realise until yesterday how long it had been since I had done an update. All is going very well at Wildwood and all the ponies look set for the Royal. We do have a few shows before then however. Gosnells Masters is this weekend and W. Royal Silk and Grandstables Reality are all set to go. We hope Reality will again do us very proud in his hunter events. The next weekend is our EFA HOTY where W. Royal Silk will be in attendence. The next weekend after that is The Riding Pony Show where Melody Park Valentino will make his WA show ring debut. Very excited for that one.
We are also waiting on LJS Royal Secret to foal. She is looking rather close seeing as she isn't due for another 3 weeks. Will keep the site updated.

2nd July
I have just received the photos from the SHC Classic and newcomers from Lorelle Mercer and they are great! I have posted some on the home page and more on the show team page.
EFA Newcomers is next weekend and Royal Silk is getting ready for that. After that the next show I go to will probably be in August. I must say I'm really liking this break from the shows!

21st June
I haven't had much news to report of late. I took W. Royal Silk to the Henty Fundraiser show for Sharon Jarvis the weekend after the SHC Classic and newcomers and she again did me proud by taking home champion hack over 14hh. I think this horse has just started her winning ways (I hope anyway!!)
I have just started preparing all my youngsters for the royal. They have all started to come in at night and all started in work. All in all I hope to be taking 6 ponies but I'll see how I go.
Wildwood Rembrandt is maturing into a beautiful pony. he will be broken in at some stage later in the year. I can't wait for his saddle debut!
I have just updated the for sale page. Please feel free to contact me regarding any of the ponies.

26th May
After such a long time of no updates I fianally have some very exciting news.
We went to The Show Horse Council Classic and Europa Gift (SHC newcomers) on the weekend and what a show it was! Wildwood Royal Silk worked perfectly under saddle and came home with Champion Newcomer Galloway (judge Roger Fitzhardinge). It was such a thrill for her to win this as she is the first of the Wildwood progeny and the first to come out under saddle.  Grandstables Reality worked consistently all day and was awarded Champion Show Hunter Galloway (judge Catherine Gale). He is now qualified for the Grand Nationals next year and we are tossing up whether to make the trek or not!
Photos of them both will follow, I just have to wait for the professional ones...

28th March
Sorry its been so long since I have updated the site. We have been very busy at Wildwood preparing for Valentino's arrival. He finally made it to his new home late Tuesday night and seems to be settling in very well. He has already made his presence known around the farm with everybody (and every horse) that sees him. He is such a lovely quiet pony with a great character already I can't wait to see what he will produce for the stud. He is of course too one of the best looking ponies I have ever seen!!!
In other news Kirreway Welcome has been scanned positive in foal to Fairlight Acres Riverdance. I am very excited to see what this cross will produce. I am hoping for a filly (a buckskin would be super!!) so I'll keep crossing my fingers!!
We took Wildwood Royal Silk to the Manjimup Show (her first under saddle) on the 15th of March. She behaved so well I was so proud of her. She won her novice (over 14hh) and then was 2nd in every other class. We also took Grandstables Reality and he was sashed Reserve Champion Galloway. The next day we went to Henty with the 2 of them and although Royal Silk again behaved well she was tired from the day before and so therefore didn't go as well. Grandstables Reality had another good day, I was sashed Champion rider on him and then he won his height and the hunter and then got Reserve Champion Show Hunter over 14hh.
We are off to Margaret River next weekend with Royal Silk so hopefully she will go well!

20th February
I have a lot of news to report here at Wildwood. Firstly, Rory's Kick has foaled a magnificent filly. We are thrilled at this as that is what I was after and I couldn't have hoped for her to be any better looking! More about her is on the foals page.
We took Ascot Dolly Varden to her first show a few weeks ago and she came home with Reserve Champion Welsh B mare or filly which was a great result. I have updated pictures of her on her page.
While I was at the show, a lot of people were asking about the new colt they have heard about me buying so now I guess is the right time to announce it. Wildwood Stud have purchased the exceptional colt Melody Park Valentino from Melody Park stud in NSW. This is such an exciting purchase for the stud and we look very forward to having him here and serving our own mares with our own stallion! There is more about him on the stallion page.
LJS Royal Secret will arrive at Wildwood on Friday which is very exciting after waiting for her for so long!

22nd January
Well I think its about now that I can finally announce a very very very exciting purchase for the stud. We have purchased LJS Royal Secret from Christine Comley of Rosedale Riding Pony Stud in Mt. Gambier SA. She boasts some of the best riding pony bloodlines available and I feel so fortunate to be able to have her in my paddock. She will no doubt be a massive asset to the stud! She is currently in foal to Rosedale Tempting for a September '08 foal, one I will be very anxiously waiting for! More info on her on the mares page. She is not the only exciting new addition to Wildwood in '08 but I will announce the next one very soon I promise!
In other news we are waiting for the arrival of Rory's Kick's foal by Falconhurst Reprise now. She is looking rather close and we are getting quite excited.
Kirreway Welcome has gone up to be put in foal to Fairlight Acres Riverdance (Fairleight Acres Kristian/ Fairlight Acres Silhouette). I think it will be quite an interesting cross, hopefully one that produces some colour!!!

3rd January
Happy New Year everyone!!! Hope you all have a safe and prosperous one.
Not much news to report on the horse front, there are a few new and exciting additions that I have to hold in a little longer but one is definitely going to be a massive asset to the WA Riding Pony scene.....
Have updated a few of the pages, really just need to get out and take lots of photos of all the ponies soon while they're looking so good so stay tuned for new photos soon.

16th December
A few new bits of exciting news. Firstly Lady Paris of Astral (AIUK) has been confirmed in foal to Ascot Royal Tribute (AIUK). I'm very excited to see how this baby turns out. I think it will be something very special indeed! I went and picked up W. Royal Silk from the breakers on Wednesday and I just have to say what a wonderful job Darren Taylor of Taylor Made Performances horses did of breaking her in. You wouldn't know that she had only been broken in 4 weeks for how well she goes. She has such a great and willing temperament so I thought that she would be good but I'm still a little surprised every time I get on her as to how good she is! Can't wait to get her out in the ring! She will be shown as a newcomer next year.

25th November
Kirreway Democracy has been sold to a wonderful home in Perth. Congratulations to Nicole Brown on the purchase of this wonderful horse. We will miss him!

15th November
I took W. Royal Silk to the WA All Welsh Show last weekend. She was placed first in a strong class of 3 y.o. Part Welsh fillies and then was sashed Reserve Champion Part Welsh filly. I was thrilled. She is now in Perth at the breakers and I can't wait til I can ride her!!! A photo of her from the weekend is on her page.
In other news Lady Paris of Astral is on her way to Victoria where she will be covered by Ascot Royal Tribute. I can't wait to see how this cross turns out, I think it will be something very special!

4th November
I've just updated some photos of Applewood Scarlet and Wildwood Silhouette. Silhouette is growing into something very special and I can't wait til she is old enough to hit the show ring under saddle. She looks like she will make small hack (15-15.2hh) which is very exciting because it means that she will be a decent sized horse for me!

30th October
Applewood Scarlet was shown at our SHC HOTY on the weekend. She made Top 10 Small Galloway and I was thrilled. She worked well considering this was only her 5th show and I couldn't have asked for anything more. We only have a few more Ag shows for the season and then its holiday time!
I have just found some photos of Kirreway Welcome I had lost so I have put them on the mares page.

17th October
Sorry about the lack of updates.
Sea Song (or Delilah as she has been nicknamed) is growing up to be a gorgeous filly. We are very excited to see how she matures and even at this early stage can see that she is going to be special. I've never seen a foal that moves like her!
We had quite a good Royal Show with Democracy being placed in all his classes and ending up with a 2nd in his ladies. He is still offered for sale to a good home.
Lady Paris was placed in most of her classes. She was a little unsettled but did a good job seeing as it was her first royal show. She was ridden by one of my students, Keeley Sullivan, in the lead rein. Kelley did a great job and was placed second in her lead rein rider.
With only a few more shows left in the season and with no more foals due until February, my time is now being spent organising the mares to go in foal for next season. It looks like I might have a much busier season next season than I did this year!

26th September
And finally there is a foal!!! Cottie popped her out at about lunchtime yesterday and even though she had her in broad daylight I still managed to miss it! So we have a beautiful grey filly just what I wanted. There is a pic of her on the Foals page and I will upload more soon.
In show news, Applewood Scarlet had an eventful weekend. We took her to Moora Ag show on Saturday where she was Reserve champion galloway and then on Sunday we went to Gosnells Masters where she was one of the 6 called in in her height class out of 21. She worked really well and I was very proud of her.
The Royal Show is this weekend and Lady Paris and Democracy are gearing up for it. Lets hope all goes well!

10th September
Well we were able to attend out EFA HOTY on the weekend, as unlike the other states, we can still hold our shows, well, for the time being anyway. So Lady Paris and Democracy attended and both didn't make the top 10 which was a little dissapointing. However, on the Sunday Democracy won Rural Galloway of the Year which was a real suprise and I was svery happy about that! Lady Paris was a finalist in the Rural and Intermediate small pony so that was good too. Shannara Beresi rode Democracy and did well in her rider yet again! Well done Shanny!
I have added a new link to the links page. Evolution Equestrian is a new equine wear business owned by Anna Johnson and Rebecca Wiltshire of Margaret River WA. They have some great stuff in stock.
NO FOAL YET!
29th August
Karma Park Sandalwood has found a great new home with the Gibson family of Albany. Congratulations. Not much else to report other than this horrible flu. Hope everyone is taking great care
so Australia can beat this. Good luck to everyone in NSW and QLD to keep their horses influenza free.
We had Gosnells Masters on the weekend (before Australia went into Lockdown) and a big congrats to Shannara Beresi for winning champion rider (yet again!!) riding Kirreway Democracy.
Our EFA Horse of the Year will be next weekend, Lady Paris of Astral and Kirreway Democracy will be attending so we'll be hoping for some good results!
I picked up Ascot Dolly Varden on the weekend and what an exceptional filly she is! The whole family is in love with her and we are so excited to get her out and about.
Last of all... there's still no foal!!!!

14th August
Still no foal...
Have updated the website a little, check out the fillies page for news of our latest arrivals, and new photos of Midnight Serenade on the for sale page.
We took Applewood Scarlet to a show on the weekend. It was her first outing in about a year, and her third show ever. She was extremely well behaved and won 3 classes and was second in two. We couldn't have asked for more. She will be prepared for shows later in the year, the main aim for her will be our SHC Horse of the Year in October.
